Cynthia Hankins, Judge and Commentator
Cynthia Hankins has a unique perspective on the Hunter Seat National Medal Finals that few others can share. As a junior rider herself, she won this class in 1975. In 1991 and again in 1997 Cynthia returned to the Medal Finals as one of the judges.
Cynthia designed the course for the 1997 Finals. In this video she explains why it was designed the way it was and what she was looking for from those who rode it.
Cynthia played an integral part in the production of "A Day at the Finals". In her commentary, she describes the course layout and critiques how riders attacked it. She painstakingly picked clips from the more than 200 riders to help viewers see what the leading riders did right...and how others erred.
